modified 1600CC dont fit in secondary fuel rail
Hi guys,
I bought a pair of 1600CC and I was aware that they don't fit without modification. So I browsed the net to search how to make them fit
I found this write up : http://home.mn.rr.com/linnihan/1600c..._injectors.htm
I followed it step by step and now my 1600CCs are exactly like the one in the write up.
So I think : just dump them on the secondary rail and it's gonna be allritght
PROBLEM!!! it seems that the yellow cap's rim and the orange kinda spacer dont want to go into the secondary injector air bleed. which means that the Big Black Oring doesn't seal anything!
Anybody had this problem? how did you fix this trouble??
thanks a lot guys

Haven't we ALL heard this
What was your fix?
I just got done doing mine.
I ended up removing that little orange spacer. Putting that stock bushing back in there with a small oring.
Not the best fit in the world. But I think it will hold and not be a vacuum leak.
When I say I..... I mean 1987rx7guy did that Thanks man!

Update.....
I ended up searching and found that some people had removed the lip that is around the yellow pintal cap.
So, I did the same thing and ground the lip away. The injector sat much deeper in the UIM and was a better fit.
I also used three orings on the top of the injector. Don't see any harm in that and it might seal up better.
