Missing EGR....am I screwed?
so i came up on another FC with a jdm T2 swap and when i took it to my smog man he tells me its missing the EGR, and the only way to get it to pass is to first put the orignal motor. is there any other option cause orignal motor does not exist. any help would be grateful. thanks.

EGR is basically inconsequential to passing emissions except for the visual inspection. The rotary has so much of a "natural EGR" that Mazda discontinued a traditional EGR in the S5 2nd gen.
I'm not sure what your laws are like down there but you may be able to just tell them that this engine is from a S5 RX-7 and since it runs the stock smog-legal computer the swap is perfectly acceptable. As far as I know you are allowed to swap any engine you want in CA as long as the swap itself is smog legal...Of course I could be wrong. Hell, have a Mazda dealer sign of on it if you need "proof".
