misfire

misfire

I put on a new bonez pipe no cats get a backfire at 5/7000 rpms when shifting can I fix it and does it damage the eng thanks chris

That means your performance exhaust is working correctly

Not all the fuel get's burnt at higher revs, so shifting causes enough fire in the exhaust manifold to ignite the fuel vapors.

If you have straight pipes, then you'd probably see flames at night.
