mileage on your jspec??

I'm thinking about buying a jspec from nippon or fc3s.org, how many miles have you guys put on your jpspec engines, and have you had any problems??
Please tell me what company you bought it from too...

Having lived in Japan for 5 years and played around with all kinds of junk-yard and used-car lot rotaries, I can tell you I've seen very, very few turbo motors still running well after 100,000 kilometers.

That's not to say that J-spec motors are weak, you just have to understand the market: most Japanese don't keep their cars longer than 3-4 years, and rag the hell out of them until it's time to get something new.

Sorry I can't specifically answer your question, but I did want to say one thing: any company that is trying to sell you a 13B from an FC that says "Guaranteed less than 30000 kilometers" or something to that effect is full of ****. They just don't exist (at least, in enough to export to the US and abroad).

I don't know how they can make that claim, but obviously someone believes it.
