might be looking into a 91 rx7 but need some help/info
don't really know much about the car other then it is a 91
it has 5 spoke rims
power windows/locks
sunroof
no cruise/rear wiper
what could I expect to find for the brakes (4 pot or 1 pot front?)
what susp would it have? the heavy duty or the base style susp?
do you guys think it would have the viscious lsd or open rear end?
the car runs fairly good. nice and smooth at idle and when reving it a little bit. and doesn't seem to have any sort of miss or other issues like that
kinda worried though cause the rear panel behind the drivers side wheel is dinged in a bit and looks like it was fixed and the paint looks fairly new on most the car
also there is a small ding in the hood and the top piece that the rad and hood bolt on to seems kinda dented up a little bit though not too bad. last thing is the drivers headlight cover seems to flap a little bit when opened up but nothing major
also the steering wheel doesn't sit dead on but rather tilted at about a 24* angle or so when driving straight ahead
almost wondering if this thing has been i na wreck or something but it tracks nice and straight and had it up to about 60-70 mph with no shimmies, shakes or anything of the sort
only thing I noticed wrong with how it drove is there seems to be a mild clunk kinda like driveshaft clunk comming from under the car and not sureif it is driveshaft, tranny or maybe something else
is there anything I need to look for with this?
the other thing is at idle the car with the a/c on idles at something like 500rpms without the a/c is around 750
still nice and smooth either way
also it died on me once with the a/c on and I stalled it a few times with the a/c on trying to take off
is this a problem?
and the car does seem to be down on power a little bit
but then again I only drove two S5 rx7's and both I thought had less power then my S4
now I didn't pull all the way to redline in this car only maybe 6000-6500rpms and that was it
my car is a S4 sport with K&N, RB header, DP, TB mod, and straight air intake ducting. thats it and both the S5's I drove where bone stock
could my "mods" really have made that much of a difference or do you think something is wrong?
then of course the normal problems with the mazdas, low only wipers, no clock and such but those are easy fixes... least the logicon works
anything else I should look for and do you think any of the above thigns can be problems?
how much do you think something like this would be worth and how do I haggle him down a little?

they are asking 2200
just wish more ppl would reply
I really want this car but I'm afraid of it if the they think the frame is all messed up
or I would be putting more money into it then what it is worth
as far as the cats being plugged I donno
don't really know how to tell if they are or not
the other S5 felt about the same way
not quite as strong as my S4 but eh who knows
