Miata short throw extra piece?

I got this piece with my ebay miata short throw. Do i use this because i didnt see it in the write-up...

That fits over the 'top' of everything, to actually hold the shifter down. Either that or you use the stock 'round' one. Make sense?

OHHh....ok yea i kinda combined the stock one and this spacer and it gave me the loose shifter problem i made yesterday. yea i just use the round one before i took the pic. makes sense. Thanks guys.
