Just rebuilt my OMP/Metering oil pump.. Should the omp pump lever have play left to right? Mine moves left to right when operated. I tightened the bolt pretty tight.. Wondering if I went wrong somewhere and need to disassemble and re-inspect.

 

I noticed that the end plate that has the tang on it can go 2 ways.. one way and there's play in the lever/shaft. The other way and it's really hard to operate.. *shrug* anyone know which way it's "suppose" to go?

 

FYI. I put it back in there w/small amt of play. Doesn't seem to be leaking. In case anyone has this question in the future.
