Meter fuse blowing when pressing clutch pedal

Meter fuse blowing when pressing clutch pedal

Meter fuse in my 88 FC keeps blowing, was eventually able to determine that it blows as soon as I press the clutch pedal. I inspected the wiring under the dash around the clutch pedal and fuse box but can't see any wires that are visibly damaged. I also checked the wiring for the reverse lights and that seems to be fine too. Anyone know what could possibly be causing this?

Try unplugging the clutch interlock switch and see if the fuse still blows.

Unplugged the wiring for the interlock switch and the fuse does not blow, it seems like the other clutch switch is what is causing it blow, when i reconnected the wiring and pressed only the interlock switch with my finger it didnt blow the fuse, but releasing the other switch blew it immediately
