Exclamation metal grinding noise HELP please?

there is a metal grinding noise in my rear end on the drivers side, sounds like its coming from the brakes and the rotor.honestly my 1st thought of what is was is that the brake pad was rubbing against the rotor..but that seems to be fine.. im clueless i dont know what it is ....... it only makes the noise when the car is in motion. i dont know what all that it could possibly be, could i get some sugguestions on what all i can check to see what it is or what it could be?

if you need more information ask me.. i dont know what else to put in here to help...

any info will be helpful...

Jack up the car and take off the rim and inspect it. Could be a frozen caliper or a bent brake dust shield.

has your car been sitting for a while?

could just be pads scraping rust off the rotor. it'll clear after a few good stops.
