Mechanic must have done something to my car

Took the car to get fixed from an accident and a full body paint about 6 weeks ago. He had the car for about 1.5 weeks. I told him when I left the car to push the car around instead of turning the engine on, to avoid flooding the engine. Well, the ******* called me when the car was ready and said that the car needed a tune up because it wouldn't turn on and he had already gone out to buy plugs. I told him to leave the car alone and I'll take care of it. Well the engine was flooded pretty badly, he had taken off one of the plugs so I put it back on and unflooded it. Ever since then, my car is idleing abruptly. During idle the rpms start climing up from 1000 to 1500rpm and then falls back down to 1000 and it just keeps doing that over and over. It's very anoying. I am wondering what else could this ******* have done to the car? I asked him and he said he had done nothing else except take out one of the plugs and saw it had gas on it. While accelerating the car seems normal though. Anyone have any ideas what I can check? or what could a rotary ignorant person have tried to fix the flood.
TIA

could also be an issue with the acclerated warmup system on the car.
cause it usually pushes the RPm to 1500 to warm up the cat quicker for less emmisions

I don't know.. I guess I'll check all the vac hoses tomorrow. My car has always idled at 700-800 including that very same day I brought the car to the body shop. No signs of something wearing out or anything the days before either. Thanks for the help.

After installation of the new plugs, if not already installed, just check the TPS to be sure it is in specs. Also check BAC valve to be sure it's functioning properly. You never know, could be a coincidence.

sometimes they do that after sitting for a while. Drive it good for a day it should stop once it is reallyy warm. One of my cars does that after not being driven for a day or two.

You should have taken out your EGI Fuse. They never listen to the simplists requests you ask of them. It's happened to me too.

As a test, I asked to not have my car started due to the outlined example. Anyway, they did move It. With the already removed EGI Fuse, I had received a call telling me It's ready but your car Is not starting. Case In point!
