Presuming you qualify, you can call 800-435-2508 and talk to Steve Sanders, the program manager. The Team Support Program is open to legitimate racers who can provide proof of their involvement in organized races. Typically, you will have to give them two timeslips (per year) from sanctioned events and a photograph of the car. Fortunately, SCCA autocross qualifies, so it is accessable to many people. You can only buy parts for your own race car and you may never sell them to other people without being banned from the program. Also, if any other Mazda Comp members find out about illegal reselling, you will be beaten to a bloody pulp for ruining it for everybody. All it takes is one screw-up and the program will be yanked out of the reach of regular guys like us. By the way, non-stock competition parts are available to anybody with no membership requirements; membership is only required for stock replacement parts.

Oh my, Mazda owners take their replacement parts very seriously!! Do I need to hide them under my trench coat when I take the parts home??
Seriously though, I just purchased an '89 GTU, which I'm going to race in the ITS class in the SCCA. I do have a national racing license and have been racing an MGB in the E-Prod class for several years, so my request is legit.
By the way, I'm new to the RX-7 world, so if there's any advice or additional info you would like to pass along, I'm all ears....
Thanks much,
Don
