maximum hp/max steet combo?

i wanted to know your ideas on what you would do
to a 1987 turbo II to produces the max hp /torque
and keeping the vehicle streetable/daily driver.
2 criteria.
1 keep the 1.3l no 2.0 swaps
no superchargers/ turbo only
any mod goes!
thanks!!!!

I've been discussing this with mariah motorsports and mazcare. Their thinking was a faster scrolling turbo and larger primaries.

I think a mild street port in combination with a butterfly valve in the exhaust which is partially closed below 3500rpms would help as well.

I just wish someone would develop a combo supercharger/turbo charger kit for more NA feel

Exclamation

id personally like to make 400-450hp
in this car
but i dont know how streetable it would be
if it were a piston motor id probably have parts ordered by now
who makes really hot turbosand intakes/exhuast for this car
headers intercoolers etc.
and where is the line where the car goes from a daily driver
to something thats more for the track than the street?
i dont want something that has to run cam 2 racing gas
and gets 1 mile to the gal.
i want something that will beat 99% of whats stock on the street
and humiliate mustangs every where.
am i asking too much?
when i look through the posts here i see people
talking about hp numbers but im interested in what they used to get them specifically in the second gen cars
400-450 hp in the car i have would be a rocket!
i know im talking about 1.3L here but i want to mod as far as i can
without killing the joy of driving the car every day
i bought the car only a few weeks ago and had it sold for 2000
more than i paid for it but after driving it i dont know if i could part w/ it. i told my wife yesterday while she was driving that it
was a drivers car. the only thing that holds mine back is acceleration. i know with some help that can be overcome.

Well maxing the stock fuel system and slightly larger fuel injectors will put the normal TII above most stock and slightly modded street cars.

We've been talking some more here:

on the Haltech unit that can be programed for serious HP at high boost or decent fuel economy. This is probably the option you'll want to take if you want the best of both worlds.

Check rx7.com's performance parts page for all the goodies.
