Max Hp a stock turbo can be flowed to

I hear about people porting & polished & rebuilding the stock turbo. My question is how much does this actually help on performance? Or would I just be better of going aftermarket with it? Has anyone tried the T3/T4 Hybrid turbo or the T60 turbo from Turbonetics on a 2nd Gen?

Another question I have is, I want to pull 350-385rwhp from a quick responding turbocharger. I already know a ball bearing center helps responce & that hoorible turbo lag. If I went aftermarket with it, that would be a need for it to have.

Also, how much can the stock intercooler handle as far as hp to heat is concerned. I know i've seen a pretty nice setup with the stock intercooler still retained. I'd like to keep the setup as clean & sleeperish looking as possible. Hell it still has 4-lugs wheels. That alone makes people wonder.

Spend the few extra hundred and get a hybrid turbo that you can safely boost higher on. The port you are probably talking about is people porting their wastegate which is just to control boost. The stock turbo can't reliably boost as high as the hybrids will be able to, plus they get inefficient after a certain point anyways.
