Master Cylinder Swap

I did a search and didn't find the answer I was looking for. I have a 90 GTU and I wanted to know if a T2 master cylinder would work. I didn't know there was a difference until I went to the parts store to price one. As far as I know I don't have ABS, there is no fuse for it in the box and I don't think it was an option for a GTU. I'm almost positive the all T2's came with ABS but I do not want ABS, just a beefy master cylinder. Any help is appreciated.

Not all TII's came with ABS. Most S4 TII's were actually non-ABS cars. BUT the S5 TII master cylinder is made from aluminum instead of cast iron, so it's a bit lighter. You can plug the ABS lines easily. Or you could use an aluminum master cylinder from a Mazda 929 for added volume.
