Mass airflow meter

Whats up everyone, does anybody know if a turbo 2 mass airflow meter is bigger than a 87 n/a meter and will it work with an 87 n/a motor ? thanks in advance

i would think they are the same, but do not know for sure. they are both the flapper door type

i heard they will work fine, and i was told they do flow a bit more, but i dont know for certain, i was told this

You would think that they flow a bit more because of the turbo.

they don't flow more.. the AFM's are physically identical to each other.. The diffrences come in their output signals.. At a given flapper position, an NA AFM will send a diffrent signal to the ECU then a Turbo one.. I have run an NA afm on my t2..it ran fine.. however I did notice that the car ran leaner then usual..
