map sensor what is it for

so yea i put a turbo 2 engine in my car and the wiring harness for it wont hook up to the map sensor but what does the map sensor do

it tells the ecu what the absolute manifold pressure is.

You need it.

does it have anything to do with spark i tryed everyting and not getting any spark or fuel its dry i have tryed everything differnt ecu wiring harness nothing works

check your fuses and circuit opening relay.

what do u mean your harness wont hook up to the map sensor . u got a f,ed up harness or u just arnt applying yourself

will the 318 map sensor fit on a jspec wiring harness because i still have the 326 on there and the plug is way differnt could the crank angel sensor have anything to do with spark or no fuel thru the injectors or is that map sensor

s4 harness and s4 ecu i have two the n333 and the n340 i dont know any more jspec s4

Ok, if you haven't read the faq already, you need the T2 ECU, VAM,MAP sensor, and injectors. There is a plug on the harness itself that goes to the body harness, there is a body harness plug that must go to the ecu, you can use the na harness, but you need to change a couple of wires.

check your engine bay fuses, and your fuel pump fuse. Check for 12V at the injectors and for 12V at the ecu, when the ignition switch is on.

Let us know what happens and then we'll go from there.

yea there are 3 plugs for the inside besides the one that plugs into the ecu to bigger ones and the one to the map sensor everything else is conected
