how would i go about checking if my map sensor is bad?

car jumps idle from 1500-2000, i been through everything else and have fallen on this. but i dont have a spare to swap and check.

i cant ground the green wire by the coil and check for the morse code with the engine check light, becuase my checklight either dosnt turn on, or it isnt giving codes. i already tried...
