Question manual steering Q

I am wanting to switch a manual steering rack into my right hand drive TII....is it as simple as mounting the rack in the opposite way..or do i need a rack from a right hand steer car?

well if i remember correctlly the on side of the rack has a total of 4 bolts that hold it to the crossmember and the other side has two...see if the crossmember is set up in the opposite way....im not sure if u can just switch it around but you can tell as soon as you try to install it

i just looked at my rack and im pretty sure your gonna need a right hand drive rack because if you switched it around the steering shaft would be faceing toward the front instead of towards the back

^correct^

And if you're going from power to manual (or the other way around) you will also need the brackets and rubber bushings since they are different between power and manual racks (different diameters)

I have an interesting update to this topic....
The normal USDM steering rack can fit "properly" into the Right hand drive steering system by flipping it around and switching around the mountign brackets....however I overlooked a funny little tidbit....because the rack is upside down..it is also backwords..so when u turn right it points the wheels left....I of course didnt drive it like this cause I wasnt sure if it would snap the rack in half or something......I just though I would share
