Manifold gaskets

Hey what are the symptoms of the upper, or lower manifold gasket going bad. I'm saying this because my car sputter like around 4-5 grand. It won't hold an intial idle at the first start. I have to give it a little gas to keep an idle. I keep trying to narrow down the problem, and can't figure it out. I heard it could be air temp sensor, o2 sensor, bad converters. What could it be?

Shoot some carb cleaner or starting fluid in and around those areas.&nbsp If you got a leak, the revs will rise a bit.

Ye that's what I'm planning to do tommorrow. Now if I have a leak would it cause me to hesitate, or not hold a idle. Will it cause me to not get any kind of boost at around 3500-5000. As soon as the car gets a little hot it starts sputtering. Hot as in normal operating temps.
