making a tII

my n/a blew a seal so ima movin on to bigger and better things

i know this junkyard that has nothing but rx7s and hes gon sell me a empty shell on wheels along with a tII pull out including engine tranny ecu brakes diff i think shift linkage.

i gotta some question hes going to do the compression test what psi should it be to be in good shape so i dont have to rebuild it and keep it a daily driver with some occasional racing here and there

since my n/a is going to b the doner for the misc things should i try to change those seats or do i need racing seats to have harnesses

what price should i b looking at to drop the motor and drivetrain in to this shell, im in orlando florida jus to give a refference

is there any suggestions while making this proj , im aiming at getting this done by the end of the july

thanx

usually 7s seating in junkyards don't show any compression.

I really don't understand WHY you're building a TII.....YOU DO realize that MAZDA made TII's right? SO you're gonna reinvent the wheel. It'll set you back about $2-3K, I'm in Daytona So I know. It's about $1k for the engine alone, not to mention the harness, and all the miscelaneous stuff. It's worth it, if you could do it yourself. But besides the engine bay you need the tranny, and whole rearend. For the same money you could get a TII. Sell or part out your N/A and use that to build the TII...for reliability. IF you have to ask here...you're really in over your head. This is much more tedious project than most people think. The choice is yours, best of luck.

You need to search the forum! Common sense will tell you about the motor your buying (broken parts, missing pieces, etc...). what is the guy asking for? swapping a TII is not that expensive or hard. It's really easy. Doing it yourself will save you LOTS of money, if not, you'll probaly be better off looking for a TII. I've done the swap, so trust me. SEARCH! SEARCH! SEARCH!
