Making flames?

You can do it the nice way,
and you can do it the rice way
Nice (aka proper) way is to just remove all exhaust "obstacles", i.e pre-cat, cat, and add a nice HUGE catback
Rice way is to wire a plug right into the end of your exhaust, and punch it every time you need to produce "flames"....
...but be ready to receive "flames" from other RX7 owners if you do it that way

I have had both an NA and a TurboII that shoot flames.
NA method: full open exhaust, take it all the way to redline and you should get a loud crack and a nice flash. In an NA it is more of flash of fire than a rolling flame. I have had it light up the whole back of the car before.
Turbo method: Again full open exhaust, after market BOV seems to help also, since they vent the air to atmosphere, instead of back into the intake track. Give the car half to full throttle up till about 5500 rpm or so, it varies by car, then let off (do not shift) and slowly ease back into the throttle, if you do it correctly you will get anywhere from a flash of fire to a rolling flame (this is what i get) that will linger for about 2 seconds. I have seen it get well above the spoiler in the rear view.
Hope this helps.

I get them easy
put a header on and silencer and flamage it is
still stockcatback
though also removed the dashpot so I run a little rich when I close the throttle
and if you want to add a little more I guess you can unhook the TPS since your car will think you are at WOT ALL the time
