Make my 88 go faster

Hey guys, im getting my engine rebuilt and need your expertise. I have a 88 vert and getting a stage 2 street port engine. What else can I do to make my car fly? Also getting it ported how much more hp should I expect? Thanks

Convertibles are heavy, basic bolt ons will help, an absolute must is to make sure those 5th and 6th ports are working

Some of us like to drive with the top down- don't hate on our heavy 'verts.

If you have the cash available, you can drop 3800 on an Atkins efi supercharger kit, but that's if you REALLY like your 'vert and want power, too.

Bottom line is, I have an 88 vert, and I am satisfied with having a reliable zippy little seven and don't expect to have neck-snapping torque or turbo speed. I know it is a trade off for the look- getting top down cruising ability, and the car still handles better than most cars newer than 16 years old.

Of course, I wouldn't kick a turbo 'vert out of my garage, either.
