Major problem, HELP
I'm about to get rid of the FC too (FD's out the the door)
On my way to work one day, I hit a sharp bump on the interstate (thanks to the shitty roadways in VA). After that, the car lost alot of power, like the exhaust was very restricted. Well, I got to work and the cats were glowing red. I put on Thunderfab pipe and still the same problem. The symptoms are the following...
-barely enough power to move itself
-when in boost it really struggles
-popped off the IC after starting it once and a fog of fuel vapor was coming from the TB
-sounds like a lawnmower (like it's on one rotor)
I checked my ECU connections, spark plug wires connections, MAF sensor connection, boost sensor, TPS connections and a few other small things.

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
One rotor? compression test?
Perhaps a wiring problem, one injector not firing, ecu problem, loose connector, etc.
1) check compresson
2) check spark on all 4 plugs. I do this by pulling each plug with its wire, laying it by a ground, and cranking the car. Repeat for al 4.
3) check fuel and fuel injectors/wiring. I do this by removing the upper intake, wiring the primary injectors to their rail, and cranking the car over with a pan of some sort under the injectors (now sticking partially up in the air) to watch for spray from both injectors. There is no way to check teh 2ndaries, other than getting the engine running and applying power to one of them and seeing if the engine drops rpm/dies (from being rich).
