major engine problem, please help.

ok about 2 months ago, one of my fuel lines broke and caught a small fire that burnt up most of my hoses. Me and my brother replaced all the hoses (fuel and vacuum) and will run ok for about five minutes, then it seems like the car looses most of it's power and is very very hard and slow to rev up. When it does rev up, i get alot of backfires. I really don't know what else to do, if i could get some pointers that would be great. the engine is rebuilt and has about 9k on it with only a turboback exhaust and fcd. Thanks

Start checking things for visible damage as well as testing sensors and such. Check timing, fuel pressure, TPS, AFM, the list goes on. Fires can damage a lot, and it's also possible something has simply broken for unrelated reasons.
