Main pulley removal

the only part of the main pulley im using is the back half(just the water pump/alternator part), so i was wondering if i could remove the front two parts of the pulley without and problems? id also like to install an oil pellet, but fc3s.org is charging $17 for shipping!! does anyone know where i can get one?
