Maf and maf connector question.

sigh. This car. I have a smooth running motor but still very rich. O2 readings in the .6-.7 range and gassy smoke from the tail. runs like a top at 1/2-3:4 throttle but Doesn't want to maintain a speed on cruising throttle.

So, I've followed the fsm to test the maf and my numbers are perfect but now I'm taking it off and notice two things

1. It sounded like a tiny slinky (broken spring, soft metallic rattle) was inside there when I set it down or rotate it in my hand .Not Normal right? Internal Damage ? Would it still ohm out?

2. Connector had a non-oem connector in it..what is that wire for? What's is this blue connector? Should it be doing something?

thanks.

It's part of the oem harness

the connector was added but I'm positive it's oem wire as it goes into the grey sheathing there. Maybe an s4 harness on a. S5? Check connector?

If if you have an s5, can you take a pic of yours?
