Machining REW Mid Iron for FC Mounts

So I'm looking at an REW sitting beside the junK S4T motor in my garage...... And then i started to wonder if anybody has ever machined and tapped an REW mid housing for the three motor mount bolts on the passenger side bottom and the two studs on the drivers side vertical surface...... Then just used the FC oilpan??

I'm thinking about welding the subframe mounts into my car for the FD rear mounts.... but man.... it would be a LOT simpler to have a machine shop modify the REW mid iron if it's possible......

THoughts...

Anybody actually do it????

Seen lots of REW's in FC's..... Somebod HAS to have done something sneaky....

I HEARD that you can use a S4\S5 mid plate on the REW engine, that way it will be a bolt in; however the intake manifold will have to be modified for the mountig points\holes, and ports. If this is true, modifying the LIM is far easier than welding engine mounts to the subframe, or machining the the REW plate per your idea.

BTW - I think I have only seen (in pics) one REW engine on a FC, most of the swaps are RE engines.

Front 13B-REW front cover is too short to mate with the FC 13B oil pan.

Can the FC 13BT cover be used instead?

Or how about a normal 13BT engine with *just* the rear\front REW plates?

I KNEW there had to be some friggin smalll thing cause everything else looked too easy.......... Looks like its time to get the dummy engine and trans and start welding mounting pylons onto the frame rails for the 13Brew mounts.....

So you are using a FULL REW engine, with a T2 front cover and oil pan?

If that is that case, is only a matter of tapping for the passenger side engine mount?

How about the CAS?
