Lugnut Key to Remove Lugnuts

Just got an 86 about a month ago with 125,000 miles, driven annually from May to September for the last 10 years and garaged the rest of the year. Its a 5 speed in great shape although a pretty stock car, no power steering, windows, rear wiper and no turbo. Bought the car from my dad, he's owned it from 1987 and taken extremely good care with it. There are a few things that need attention, like new rotors and I just had to replace the clutch master and slave cylinders.
I have 2 questions that possibly someone can help answer. First, the wheels have locking lugnuts and the key to unlock them has been lost. I searched the site without much luck and other searches elsewhere have not helped. I have not yet contacted a Mazda dealer, the nearest is quite a distance from me. In the meantime I hope I don't get a flat.
Secondly, I have noticed the rear wheels seem to hop upon releasing the clutch, usually when the car is cold. It seems to keep happening until the car has been driven for awhile and applying more pedal helps alittle though does not stop it from occurring.

do you have any tire stores around your home? i work at discount tire company and we have tools to take off the wheel locks, i think its like a dollar for each lock, then you can buy some new ones with the key for it... hope that helps

the locks have nothing to do with mazda. they were probably bought from a tire store. as above most stores should be able to remove them but they will get damaged so you'd need new ones after.

as for the hop just try sliping the clutch more.. the hop should only come from agressive lanches. the thing that normaly fixes that is new rear shocks.

I doubt any 2nd gfen came with wheel locks, however I have an 86 base that has some locks on it that are funny looking. I get locks off with a 12 point socket that will just fit over the lock when hit by a hammer. Use a craftsman socket so if it breaks you get a new one free. So hammer it on, and take the lug off. To get it out of the socket, you need to hit it fron inside with a screwdrive or something, through the drive hole with a screwdriver and hammer. Once I had to remoce 16 lock lugs(some moron put 16 locks on a 4 lug car) this way.

As for wheel hop, bad rear suspension can cause this. I have an 86 gxl that has a poor rear suspension, almost bottoms out over large dips. When going sideways and hitting any bump it just stutters across the whole road. When taking off hard they can also lose contact with the road. Check your rear suspension adn bushings.
