3.9 has higher top speed, 4.1 will have better acceleration. You may need to recalibrate your speedo.

3.9 is Automatic or Convertible, 4.1 is Manual non-GTUs, 4.3 is GTUs, all for RX-7s. I know nothing about Miatas.

Well my car was an automatic with the 3.9 LSD, and i put the 4.1 Open diff from a 89 GTU.

I am thinking about putting on the 3.9LSD and changing the internals to the 4.1 from the open diff. that should get me a 4.1 LSD right?

I changed my speedo cable cuz the old auto one got lost, now i got one thats a tad shorter which fits the manual tranny.

That should work.
That's a deal unless the bidding goes through the roof!

Spotskater (james) put his 4.1 internals in a 3.9 LSD case. So i will be doing this, just want to make sure that by doing so the car will have a 4.1 LSD. he told me to get a dial indicator to set the backlash. Anything else i need?
