yea. im still curious.. at the f&q there's a listing of fc that came with a lsd. and it says some coupe's with the A or B package.. but what about the vert. do they come with it also.? makes me wonder.. cause there wasn't any listing of the vert or any of it shown.? but aren't the vert pretty much like the gxl in a way.? or no.? as in the s5 verts.? hUumm.. stupid questions. but im just curious. ehhe.

Did my FC come with a Limited Slip Differential?
Only the following FCs had a LSD from the factory:
86-88 GXL
87-91 T2
88 GTU
89-90 GTUs (however not the 89-90 GTU)
It is also rumored that a few rare 91 coupes with both the A (upgraded the interior trim, added a power sunroof, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, and 4 piston front disc brakes and vented single piston rear brakes) and the B package (leather seating, a CD player, and rear cargo cover) came with a LSD, but you should note that Mazda denies that any FC other than the T2 came with a LSD in 91). You can also tell by looking at the differential as there will be a LSD tag on S4 cars with a LSD.

No North American convertibles came with a LSD from the factory.

And on the 91 coupes it was rumored only on the cars with the A and the B package, not an either or as you posted.

as said.? coupes with package A or B.? how do you know or how can you tell which has it.? by the interior. look of blue or what.? i don't know.? and as i've seen said.. if it has a lsd.. it should say lsd on it right.? or somthing like that.? curious.?

Only in 91 were the A and B packages available. Package A upgraded the interior trim, added a power sunroof, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, and 4 piston front disc brakes and vented single piston rear brakes. Package B was available with the Coupe or Turbo and included leather seating, a CD player, and rear cargo cover. If the coupe came with an LSD in 91 (which I personally doubt, but there are rumors) then it would be equipped with both A and B packages.

Its pretty hard to miss those options. If it had 4 piston front brakes or a tilt steering wheel in 91, it had the A package. If it had leather, it had the B package.

In 90 if you had a non-turbo coupe you had a GTU, or a GTUs, or a GXL. Of those only the GTUs (but not the GTU) came with a LSD in the USA. There will not be any tag or external marking showing if the car was equipped with a LSD for any 89+ model.

As far as your orginial questions on verts, with the exception of the 88, they did not have option packages, and came equipped simular (but generally better than) the GXL models. Leather was standard most years, and they all came with a heavy duty suspension and 4 piston front brakes.
