Lrg fuel pump setups
you guys have to be sure you are getting and using submersible fuel line for the pumps, even some pump kits do not give you the proper type of hose so beware. the hose is $32/ft.... regular high pressure fuel line will split sooner or later.
with the old pump set up I had in there for 2-3 years it never split, good info though I will ask the local hose guy for a scrap piece and change it out until I get to the rest of the fuel system
id need a special fitting thats a female m12x1.5 to a -10 an. i cant find one i recieved it today and its only an inch i gotta be abled to figure out a way to get this to work
I think it is the offset that puts a sharp bend in the short hose with the fat '044 and causes it to split over the hard edge of the pump outlet barb.
I bet if you offset the bracket so the pump was inline it would be fine just as all the other in tank pumps are.

Mine are mounted to the side of my gas tank. Why? When/if i have to take the gas tank out i unhook 1 line and everything comes out together. I will be posting up pictures tomo in my build thread. I will post a pic here as well. I made a bracket to hold the pumps. Nothing super fancy made on CAD ect but its a very effective solution.
can't mount these to the side of the tank, it's going to be using dual exhaust. i have no idea how i'm going to run these lines.
they're just going to have to go under the car and run the risk of getting banged up. i suppose he can worry about making some sort of steel shields for them.
this sump looks the same as above.

This is were i was going to mount mine. I had a rubber gromet to a civic were the heater core lines come out the fire wall and was going to put that at the bottom of the spare tire well. The reason i didnt, i really didnt want to hear the pumpes even more and i hate gas lines on the inside
you could make a cover for in there that will isolate it from the rest of the cabin and some sound deading on it would work to muffle the noise. He was supposed to show me pictures but he never did.
Re-constructed the Rear subframe to allow the gas line to go threw. The line is not throughly mounted, its still in mockup.

Dual Bosch 044's. 2 -8 to 1 -10. (please dont inform me of the pieces of tape stuck everywere)

this is how i finally wound up fitting them.

the mounts are solid attached to the fuel tank straps, sounds like a pissed off chainsaw when priming. i wanted to keep them as low as possible to prevent low fuel pump starvation. but if i had done the sump i would have made a way to attach socks inside the tank pickups, this particular tank had a bit of rust and the ethanol keeps fouling the pump filters. it is finally to the point that all the crap is stripped from inside the tank.

hmm scary to use those pumps like that .
thats just me
this is a real sweet surge tank set up, they have it for dual pumps as well I just havent really investigated to see where it would fit
