lower factory seats?
is there anyway to lower the factory seats? ive got an 88 gxl and my head almost touches the roof. my friend has a 86 gxl with gtu seats swapped in, they seem lower, is that true? and if so are there any leather ones that are low like that too?

Im 6'2" I fit in ok, but I like to be leaned back a bit - also have real long legs so my seat is back nearly all the way....
Only thing I've ever heard of along the lines of this would be the case I had with a customer who had an 05 BMW 745i....real big fella, not tall.......we sent out the factory seat to Gold star, a local interior guy....he removed some foam from it as well as lowered the seat in relationship to the sliders - lowering the overall height.....but this was big bucks.
I would say if you really can't fit in, get some Corbeaus or something so you can get in and drive it, itll be the easiest way since as far as I know there is no difference in height between the factory seats in 2nd gens.....and any difference there is is VERY minimal if any, and if there is its probably due to one being more worn than the other...

yes they are! and I LIKE IT!! also i found i could move the wheel up about an inch by removing this little spacer/slide plate from between the colume mount and the dash frame.
this leaves me with plenty of leg/thigh room and i can see my turn indicators. also i have never driven a better geometry. fits like a glove. so the answer is obviouse: buy a vert and put the top down. plenty of headroom
