Some Ford SUVs use a nice pair of Fiamm horns, both Volvo and BMW have nice horn sets also.

In all my junkyard scavenging, horns have probably been the biggest crapshoot.

In general, you want to look at the biggest vehicles in the yard (SUVs, high end coupes, etc) because there seems to be a correlation between vehicle size and how robust the horns are.
Imagine the embarrassment of an Escalade owner who's horn *meeps* like the RX does.

The problem is that horns are sited in exposed positions and suffer long periods of non-use.

My success rate with junkyard horns is about 50%.

Mid - Late 90's Dodge Ram Vans. (Not the trucks) Under the driver's side headlight. Best junkyard horns I've ever used.
