This is NOT the 3800rpm Hesitation
It starts at about 1000-1400rpms it is 3 quick gaps in power with a slight pop/backfire then she goes all out BALLSTODAWALL.. If I had to describe it as a "FEELS LIKE" I would say it feels like a car with a lot of power with a turned up traction control system. (I have a friend with a turbo miata that does it)
My car is N/A and I am about to convert the 6 port to turbo and if it is fuel related or ignition for that matter I am concerned about doing the swap without figuring out what the problem is..
I am running blockoff's, No A/C, T2 pump, No air pump, No PS, hollowed out cat, I am going to check my timing again but last week it was right on the money. THe TPS is sitting pretty at 1k Ohms at closed throttle. I am running no sleeves in the 5th and 6th ports due to the impending TURBO SWAP..
This car is my Daily driver and it is just a little annoying.. I really want to square it away before I go slapping the turbo on..

huh, sounds like an injector issue to me. Have they been cleaned/serviced recently?
oh and...
waz dah? TII fuel pump? if so, kinda jumbled the order there - hehehe...
If you are running a TII pump and the problem is injectors then the TII pump would accetuate the problem becuase of its higher flow rate.
Also [i]could/i] be injector clips.....somethign to check anyways.

Funny story, I am not 100% on this but..... i was getting low on fuel (1/8th of a tank) I have to premix and what not, I have been "over mixing".. For safety sake... Well I think that As the tank got lower there was too much 2 cycle in the bottom of the tank.. It made fuel run slower through the filter/injectors. Causing the fuel/hesitation issues.lol.
I refilled the tank with gas and after about 20 miles the hesitation started to fizzle, and almost is all the way gone... I may change out the filter and report back...

The car is acting really funny now.. It's smoking for some odd reason, I know the oil is overfilled but it hasn't been smoking for a long time.. All this stuff started about 2 weeks after installing the baffles in the mufflers, I wonder if I have TOO much backpressure and it is causing blowby....
Any luck on this problem RRTEC? I have an almost identical setup and having the same problems. I have a feeling it is dirty injectors and possibly my clips (they are broken). I just want to know if there is anything else I need to check while I have it all apart. Thanx in advance. -Jeromy

have you check you tps, my car was ******* up like no tomorrow, every one was saying it was a vac leak, it was the fuel or ignigition system. all it really was is the connector for the tps was gunked up with corrosion or what not. i juct unpluged it and took some electric cleaner to it and its ran fine since.
