Low Idle '87 NA

My car is warming up fine(cold start) and all that but, once it is warm it drops to 500-600rpms, doesn't stall but, that idle is too low. what's the right way to adjust this. i've searched all morning and got mostly contradicting posts.

Is this the way to go (S4) ? Thanks guys

To set the idle speed: First, take the car out for a 15 min drive to get it fully warmed up. Then, short the initial set connector (green 2 pin connector near the battery). Start the car up and turn the adjustor screw on top of the throttle body counter clockwise until the idle speed comes up to 750. Then go back and remove the initial set connector short. You probably need to adjust your throttle position sensor too while you're at it. If you can't get a good solid idle, you might want to start looking for vacuum leaks. They can really play hell with getting a good idle, and they can be really tough to find.

Hmm, i'll try that. but i don't need to change the Idle air/fuel to match the idle set screw ? also, to short the coupler, can i put a spade connector on each end of a short wire, then connect each end to each blade in the coupler ?

So you changed the Idle AFR when you changed the idle speed, and you DIDN'T have to jumper the coupler ?
