Low Fuel Light Not Working
Low Fuel Light Not Working
Hey everyone, I was thinking about taking out my warning cluster today to fix the solder points for the clock and thought of something. My low fuel light only comes on when I first start the car, and doesn't when I am low on fuel. Now I usually re-fill at a quarter tank, but there have been times in which the needle is barely above the empty line.
Is this caused by some bad sender in the tank or a bad solder joint in the warning cluster? All the other lights seem to work (well, at least from the ones that would normally come up like HATCH, BELTS, DOOR, P-BRAKE). One of the reasons I ask is because the clock turns on momentarily when I first start the car and goes out - and it seems like the remedy for that is resoldering the joints. Maybe there is a similar solution for the fuel light? I hope so. This is on a 90 TII.
