Its got sum low springs in it and also came with some super lows. its got a FCD but thats all. i removed the air pump and blocked off the hoses to it and also removed the a/c pump. im looking for a bit more go. on a relitivly lowbudget ( couple of thousand) what can i do to safely improve the hp of my beast. cheers

MAINTENANCE!!!!!!!!!!!

Replace all vac lines and hoses
replace PD
have injectors tested, flowed and cleaned
replace all filters
replace tank pickup sock
do the fuel pump rewire
have the rad flushed
replace the oil cooler lines

Get the car running 100% at stock levels BEFROE you worry about modding it

Arrow

remove the rest of the a/c system
change all fluids
get full 3" exhaust and hi-flow cats (if needed)
get a good quality air filter and maybe upgrade your TID

Your budget is a couple thousand (US dollars)? You can do plenty with that. Do a full tuneup and maintainance and then I'd say you should purchase upgraded injectors, an Rtek 1.7 ECU, and an s5 turbo (but port the wastegate). That won't cost that much and will definately have you doing at least 220rwhp on the stock intercooler.

PD = pulsation dampner, if the s4 pd failed then it drips fuel onto the block which in turn creates fire. fire + car = bad, there is a marren pd retrofit writeup in the archives

AVCR = is a digital boost controller
