But seriously, am having some blinker issues. Right hand signal does not flash on the dash indicator, nor on the outside of the car at front or rear..., however, I can hear the blinker indicator audible click click click in very rapid succession.

Normally, I'd just say "yeah, it needs bulbs, put in new bulbs and you're good" however, the blinker indicator light remiss on the dash is puzzling. Is it supposed to be like that on these cars when you have a blinker bulb out?

 

When I had that happen on the vert the body cpu by the drivers side kick panel was fried.

 

You might have the wrong bulb in there too.

 

i dont remember exactly but 4 months ago i had the same problem, turns out it was a few connections inside the CPU on the blinker board that the soldier joint broke, you can just resolder it yourself, buy a whole new CPU, or mazdatrix sell the individual boards that go in the CPU
the CPU outputs for all the exterior turn lights as well as the dash lights. so if the dash lights are working the problem lies in the bulbs or the wiring itself,if they dont work like yours the problem is before the CPU ie. turn switch, wiring

 

If you turn on the Hazard/flasher lights does the front bumper (not side) turn signal indicator flash and do both gauge turn signal indicator lights flash? If they don't the CPU is at fault and perhaps a rewiring will fix the problem. If these lights work then it appears the turn signal switch could be the culprit. There is a wire that supplies voltage from the signal switch to the CPU when you press upward on the lever (right turn). Not familar with the S5 wiring code but on an S4 it is Green/Yellow. This wire should have battery voltage w/key to on. If it doesn't the turn signal switch is the source of the problem.

 

Mine is doing the same exact thing except with both left and right. I believe its the cpu and I have one on its way. Its a black box to the left of the fuse panel. It has 3 clips and one 10mm nut on top.

Yeah I had power to it but nothing coming out. I even pulled it apart to check all the solder points. Everything looked OK to me except for a few fuzzy spots, but what the hell do I know about circuit boards. I can solder wires together, thats about it. I got a CPU cheap off the forum. Im hoping that will be it so people stop flipping me off.

 

ya i dont know a whole lot about electronics, when i oppened mine up it looked fine to me but my uncle is a electrical egineer, he took one quick look at the board and pointed out tiny tiny tiny cracks around the solder/pins.
