okay i just did the led checker thing, and it lit up 2 times, then a pause and repeated over and over ... which by my calculations means that the afm is not working ...
so im gonna buy some electrical connection cleaner, and hose that bitch down , and in the mean time look for an AFM on ebay ...

stupid afm, i hope thats the real reason

i'm no expert... but my first rebuild blew a side seal within 100 miles because i re-used them (and also had ignition problems and mismatched rotor housings). i checked everything other than compression when trying to fix it's idle/running problems.

i've found it's good to check the simplest things first. the haynes manual does well with a list of what to check first in the troubleshooting section. so... i'd check compression and then worry about all the other stuff... i wasted alot of time doing otherwise.

i seriously doubt ive lost any compression .. if anything ive gained it since the rebuild .. i trust landers work ... and like i mentioned in the first post .. if i keep it alive with my foot its fine .. sounds REALLLLY nice ... but it just wont stay started ....
