Loud exhaust set up
My stock twin exit system has a pleasant burble, but I was thinking of swapping my rear silencers for a pair of superbike cans for some proper noise :-)
Anyone done anything similar?
Steve, still at work 12.16AM :-(

Keep in mind superbikes are still only around 1 litre and usually have two mufflers, so these will be small compared to car mufflers. What's wrong with aftermarket straight-through mufflers? They'll be cheaper and probably louder if they're bigger internally.
BTW, superbike mufflers won't make your rotary sound like a V-twin!

Another way to look at it: A Ducati 998R for example has cans that are suitable for its 140hp output. That's stoopid power on a bike, but it's 20hp LESS than a stock S5 NA, let alone a modded one or a TII (you don't say what you've got).
