Angry Lots of Fuel!!!!!

Hi all, can u point me in the right direction. I own a 1990 Turbo 2 and it is doing about 12mpg i am only driving it to work and back it gets properly warm before i turn it off etc, i am not driving it hard but drinks alot.

I have fitted new plugs and given it a service, whilst doing the service i found a split pipe (steel pipe conected to the Turbo outlet to BAC valve i think its called on the inlet manifold) which i have fixed. Also the idle seems to be iratic, i have done a compretion test and all sems fine?

What do you sugest i look at?

Thanks

don't have the haye's manual or mazda repair book on me right now, but I'd recommend plugs, spark wires, fuel injector cleaning, and all the other mazda 60K service recommendations.

Try to check tonight on mazda's recommendations on excessive fuel consumption, but I'm sure someone else will reply by then.
