lots of blue smoke from 89TII

so once again after changing my oil on my s5 TII i have bajillions of plumes of smoke coming out the exhaust upon start up. it used to go away after a minute or two, but the past few times it has remained for a long time, probably 10 minutes or longer.

it looks to be light blue smoke. I am worried the turbo is leaking oil which may be causing this problem right?? I just don't want to have to do a rebuild on the motor.

or could it be the coolant seals wearing out?
does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be wrong?

I was able to figure it out with the help of BDC.
