A change in pressure can only be a leak. A master cylinder can even leak on the inside of the firewall where it's very hard to see. Now would be a good time to replace all 3 clutch hydraulic components: master cylinder, slave cylinder and the flex line. All 3 can be purchased for about $100 through Mazdatrix. Replacement is about a 2 hour job. I just did one recently on a friend's NA, and all that had to be removed (besides the master/slave/flexline) was the oil filter and trailing coil.

I checked the master inside and it was also dry, so thats why i was so confused and there only 2 years old but not saying they couldnt go bad in that time. so yeah ill probly be replacing all that. i just thought it was really weird that i couldnt find a leak. thanks!

How did the fluid look?
Black?

It's also possible for the cylinders to leak internally (fluid just goes by the seal instead of being pushed) which leaves no external evidence.

Inside the master the fluid looks a little black, so if its leaking internally then it could just be the slave?? i might be looking to just replace everything. thinking new slave, master, and steel braided line to the slave.

That is the fastest and most effective way to go.

now i dont know if this is weird, but i was able to start my car. like its was engaged enough to do that... that normal? i lost pressure but it still comes back up, which was a little weird cause last time the slave was bad i think the pedal just stuck to the floor. anymore input would be awesome. i dont think it could be anything else.

it could have an internal leak, or the fluid could need to be replaced, i would replace the fluid and bleed the system, then i would inspect the master then the slave

yeah, thats what everyone else is saying that it could be an internal leak. im looking to just replace everything again except get a braided line going to the slave. and ill get new fluid too. not a hard fix just waiting to get paid and just order everything.

Having to push the clutch in in order to start the car is a safety device that was mandated years back to prevent people from starting in gear and running into/off of things. It's simply an electric switch that is activated when the pedal hits it while pushing the pedal down, letting the necessary things get power to start the car. It has almost nothing to do with the quality of your clutch hydraulics.

As far as your problem, you've been given the best answer already: replace all 3 of the components in the system.
