While installing my stock filter box today I noticed this loose wire coming from the sleeve with the AFM connector. There's no wires missing from the AFM harness as far as I can tell, so what is this mystery wire:




There's also one at the O2 sensor connector:

What colours are the wires?

 

they look like just the frayed ends of wires

 

And what colour is the insulation?

 

no insulation was seen. I would have to cut the sleeve. I guess I can do that.

 

ok. It is a lite Grey wire with a green strip the changes to a slightly thinner guage solid green wire. At the point that this color/size conversion take place, is where the non-insulated wire start as if it is the shielding of the Grey w/green strip wire.
