Looking for technical answers on apex seals

I have some questions about apex seals. Let's start with, what is the best apex seal you can get? On the market wise... I'm not talking about having someone design them from scratch.

What are they made of and why are they made of that? What are the pros and cons to using a material like that?

I'm sure I'll have more questions later but this is all I can think of for now.

and...mazda stock 3pc seals are very good. possibly one of the few things mazda actually designed well.

Do a search...type in "Hurley", and you will get some very in-depth discussion on the subject.

Hurley's and Atkin's 2pc. are some of the best on the market. Less acute wear on the housings, like the corner-peice of the mazda 3pc.'s do.
