Looking for some good info on the FC

Hello I am new to this forum and I have never owned a rotary powered car but I am seriouly looking into getting one. I want to buy a second gen RX-7, but I dont know much about them. I went though the rotary engine tutorial on howstuffworks.com but all that did was leave me with more questions. I am looking to build a "weekend warrior". A car that I can take to the track and not be afraid to brush it up againsta wall. I have been reading the archives and I keep hearing get the TurboII, but it is really hard to find one of those.

Well I guess my questions are what kind of power output can I expect from a properly modified NA second gen? Is it possible to turbocharge a NA FC? If it isnt possible to turbocharge a NA FC what can I do to build up a NA setup. Any positive inputs would be apperciated.

well right now i am in the process of that. i just got my 4point harness. next will be my cage. right now i am working on all of the saftey stuff instead of the engine. here is the process im going through. 8point roll cage, 4point harness, mazdaspeed racing seats, fire extinguisher (how everits spelled), and of course a helmet. then with the engine K&N air intake, street intake and exhaust porting, stand alone fuel system i hear all the piggyback systems suck (if there are some good ones out there let me know so i could save a little money), N02 with carbon apex seals maybe i have to think about that, full racing exhaust, ecu chip replaced with jet power perfomance chip, keeping non turbo, if there is anything elso i left out help me outsome. now with the suspension im going tenabe 1.5 lower springs with tokiko shocks, tokiko front and rear swaybars whith polyurathane bushungs. with my brakes im going power slot slotted rotors and ceramic pads and stainless steel brake lines. but still in search of rims and tires i have friend in ohio that giveing me two sets of racing rims and tires for free. and in good condition. but if you dont want to all that then go with a 20b
