I don't care too much for pearl white, cause it's a very hard color to pull off.
Too much pearl, and the car looks "dirty".
Too little, and you can't tell there's pearl unless you go really close to the paint and stare at it.

Somehow I knew those pictures would pop up. Far and away one of my favorite FCs. That looks to me to be about the perfect blend of pearl on it. Enough to be visible, without being obnoxious (or looking dirty as Ted mentioned). The kind that makes you look twice to be sure it's really pearl.

I would expect that paint job was not cheap, or at the very least, replicating it will not be.

Evil's car has a blue pearl on it. And those pics make the car look good, while it actually looks like hell in real life. While evil's car is amazing, i think Chubbylilchineseboy is looking for a true Pearl White, not a tinted pearl. The best way to do it is look for a stock pearl white - Acura have a nice one, but Audi's is stunning in real life. It will look great as long as you don't go too "cream" like Chrysler's colour.

you can buy mine, it's 00RZ Snow White Pearl Mica, but the paint alone cost $4,200 and only has 53k original miles, so it's not going to be cheap.

Thank god I have friends in the body business! Or did you never hear of acrylic pearls?

Anyhow that FC is really nice but needs the windshield tinted. Cars just don’t look right without all windows tinted.

Up here tinting the windshield is a sure fire way to get a ticket. Technically tinting the side windows is illegal, but they don't often enforce it. A tinted windshield will get you pulled over and get your car inspected too.

Tinting is illegal inGA and to me it's not really worth it. I like the open airy feel of my blue FC and I want to be seen in a 7. That Rx badge makes me proud.

EDIT: also, many tint jobs are filled with bubbles and need to be done by a really high class professional that will set you back a bit.

30% is all that’s legal here in FL. And front is illegal in all states. I currently have 3 vehicles done in 10% all around and 30% wind shield. Most people can’t notice. And if you roll down the windows when you get pulled over it will be alright. One of them is double layered 10% on back 3 windows. I am doing the FC project in 25% front I think 30% is a little to light for me, you can still sort of see into the vehicle head on, I hate that.

Do you do your own tint, or have it professionally done? My FC was done by the previous owner and I have to redo it since it's started to peel already.

I've done other vehicles before and was just going to do the doors myself (pretty easy to just remove the glass and apply the tint if you practice a little) and have the hatch done by a pro since it looks like it'd be a bitch to do myself. Just curious to see how much people pay for their tint jobs so I know how much I ened to set aside.

Oh I know, initial D is awesome, it is the reason I started looking into the 7. I'm happy I did cause for the money, no other car beats it. I'm just saying with the name WhiteComit he's obviously a Takahashi fanboy and doesn't care about the car itself too much. He did say" Personally I think FCs only look good in white." That car can cary off many different colors well. Yes white can look the best in some opinion, but only? A tad much wouldn't you say?

Mine should come in just under a grand.

But I get free sand paper free etch free primer and free pearl free sealer free bondo and free booth time and discount on paint and free friend ;-). did/doing all work ourselves too so that helps.

I am using Sherwin Williams paint.

personally i dont like to many white cars or even rx7's my friend has 10th anny and its clean as *** so i do like it..but i think white is plain and boring and to many people buy white cars i like something different like red, it stands out and still looks good. but hell as long as the paint isnt chipped and looks nice most any color is good.

lol I waste like 15$ a week in that game at the arcade! Funny thing is I have the white FC and I don’t own a FC and my girl has the Yellow FD R1 and she owns a white FC.

Only look good might be a bit dramatic, it could be a favorite color though.

look, I get the impression that you don't like me. I'm sorry, but it came off that way. I'm not here to make enemies. I guess I got a little defensive hearing that this beloved bodystyle "only looks good in white". You did say personally though and I should've left it at that.

P.S. your name + only liking white FCs + avitar = kinda would appear fanboy(ish) to alot of people
If I were you I'd find another good pic of a white FC for your avitar.
