Looking for a online dealer that...

sells the little snaps that go along the bottom of the top...you know, where you would put the cover onto whent he top is down. Any help would be appreciated, if not I might have to inquire at the dealer and get raped...

I thought I had seen them at autozone, but I could be wrong. Either way, definately don't go to the dealer. I have seen online places that sell them I just cant think of them right now.

I fear you are stuck with the dealership. I have spent hours searching for those Tenax fasteners. I will give you two of the links below. I even emailed a few vendors but got absolutely no replies. You are correct. The price at Mazda is absurd!

It appears that the ones on our cars are manufactured by Happich. this is their link.
http://www.happich.de/pdf/Tenax.pdf I attempted to contach without success. I do not understand German but as a manufacturer it looks as though the minimum order quantities are in the hundreds and I'll be dammed if I know what a SU cost is or equates to. Maybe a German speaking vert owner cam translate?

Cabrioworld - http://www.cabrioworld.com/specials.asp seems to have them.
The fasteners are 6.00 each and the studs 2.00 each. I have not called them to make certain they are the ones for our cars. As I recall, their price was comparable to the Mazda dealership.

A caution here. If you look at the manual, the fasteners at the drain pocket seem to be different. The studs do not simply screw into the top frame rail. It looks as though there is a bolt securing them and thus I am not certain it is the same stud as the others. If that is the case, we would have to remove the entire rail to get to them not simply screw in the stud?

Also, the ones at Cabrio appear to be metal taping and not flat end which I recall the ones in the manual look like.

Maybe someone who has replaced their top ot the fasteners can shed some light.

Oh wow, you are talking about the convertible top things. I was completely confused about what you were looking for. Sorry.

I just got off the phone with a company called AA Best Co(www.AABESTCO.com) and found out they sell the male Tenax snaps needed to attach the boot onto the car. you have to buy 15 at a time which cost me with shipping a total of $40, kinda steep but I need them.
