Looking for a new motor. Have some questions.

First off, I've done some research and searched but would like to be sure about the info I have.
I have a '91 RX7 with an NA and the other day the engine went out. Limped it home and the rear rotor only has compression on one face. Since I have to pull the motor anyways, I'd like to do a S5 T2 swap.
Been looking at some of the JDM engine sites and not sure what to think. The only ones I've even somewhat considered are: www.sunrisejdmmotors.com and www.torontojdm.com Sunrise jdm offers a 15 day warranty on rotarys (oh wow). And toronto jdm offers a 30 day start up warranty, and it does not appear to exclude rotarys as most sites seem to.
I need to do something soon as this was my DD and we only have one other vehicle. So I need some advice as to the reputation of the sites mentioned and to know if it might be better to find a usdm one for sale on the forums. Also I know I will probably need to get the mazdatrix driveshaft to adapt to my NA rear end or have one made. And will need to do a few minor mods to the NA harness to make it work.
And assuming I go with a jdm swap, Toronto JDM says it comes with sensors and ECU. But is there anything else that will not be included that I may need. Such as AFM or other sensors.

The only worthy jdm importer i know that will send you a 100% good known motor is Japan2LA. He sells plenty of stuff on here. Bought a JDM engine off ebay a few years ago, biggest POS ive even owned. And most places wont give any kind of warranty but i think Japan2LA does. All in all dont bother with those websites. Recently i tried to buy another JDM engine. I checked 5 places looking for a S4 T2 motor. Every place didnt know a damn thing. They kept trying to tell me there all the same, i just hung up everytime.

Doh, yeah atkins is a GREAT company. Every rebuild kit i bought has been from them. Even called them a few time and they are helpful as can be. They sell long blocks? I thought they were a parts/rebuilding company.

^^^I just went to atkins' site and do not see "jspecs" anymore....maybe they did away with them like corksport????

So i guess aside from you driving to the distributor and inspecting the engine yourself, and watching them load that specific engine into your truck.....japan2la is definately your best bet.

agreed with japan2la. He has a really good rep. if not just get a blown motor and rebuild it or have it rebuilt that way you have a fresh motor for your DD

Thanks for the input everyone. I sent a pm to japan2la and hopefully I can get one from him. I'd much rather do that than take a chance with one of the jdm sites. It kinda sucks because I just put projector headlights in (the real thing, not ebay crap) and less than a week later the engine goes. Oh well, just how it goes.

Yups....do it the right way 1st.

EDIT: Well..kind of... the right right way would be rebuilding your jspec then puttin it in.

Adds $$$$ to the job though and many people arent willing to shell out the extra cash in the begining (myself included).

Get the japan2la engine and you wil be fine for a while.

Best bang for the buck, IMHO: http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/ If there's any way to get the car to Kevin, do it. Plan B is pull the motor and ship it to him.
