Looking At My Antenna, WTF?

My power antenna dosen't work, and I have a sony deck. I pulled the carpet and looked to see if I could get the antenna to work, and there was a wire coming from it and it had an end on it that looked like the end of a wire you plug into a electric guitar. I looked for 2 hours in there and couldn't see where to plug it to make the antenna work. Any ideas guys?

Many aftermarket head units try to switch the power antennae to +5 to activate. Our cars need it switched to ground. Try grounding the wire (with the power on), and see if that activates your antennae. It should (at least, it did for me). Disconnecting it from ground should lower the antennae. I ended up wiring a little switch up right behind the shifter to move it up and down.

At the antenna there should be more than just one wire. There should be the Coax cable with a antenna lead, and there should be a molex style plug, containing the wires from the fuse box and radio turn on lead.

If there is only a black coax cable, then you do not have a power antenna or someone has unplugged the power antenna and the plug as fell down out of sight.
